Someone’s threatening someone else,

and so they call you in.

I don’t want to see you hurt or killed

for someone else’s sin…

How could I beg you, “Please, don’t go”

when someone else is scared?

No, I can’t stand in the way

of a pledge that said you cared.

It’s true that I don’t understand

why this has to be at all

Free Will can, too, choose not to harm

Then no one has to fall

Yet, no, the world is not this way

with all its cruel demands

But, when I start to worry, I will know

God holds you in His hands

It may seem an oversimplification, this way of looking at things, but tho the odds are against it, it is really no more difficult than following the Golden Rule.  I have heard about so many close calls and losses lately.  The less heartache for all, the better…
