Dad, it hasn’t been all that long in years, but it has been forever in smiles…

I love you.  I miss you.

You always said, “Smile”, so I played this at your funeral.  I knew how it would be to link my favorite song to losing you, but sometimes, even though there is a lot of sadness, we need the tributes to get through.  This year has been an especially tough one for anniversaries.  That’s just the way it goes, though.

Now, it’s just photographs and memories, and the last line in the song, “You’ll find that life is still worthwhile if you’ll just smile…”  Got to make it so…
