By this time, I’m old enough to know everything. Maybe I don’t, but I’m old enough.

This is a collection of some of my own personal “notes to self”. Within are the heart and soul meanings that to me, add to life, the “between the lines”, the real substance that exists quietly and yet is the true strength and structure of life itself.

Don’t ever separate from your heart and soul for an “opportunity”.

Any true opportunity that exists is for all of you as you are, and does not compromise who you are or the best of how you have chosen to live. Your chance to create “you” begins in your school years, and continues throughout your life. Any damage to that value must be gently repaired in order to give yourself the greatest authenticity. If you are lying to yourself about who you are, how are you going to present anything believable to others?

You cannot live separate from yourself and succeed. The best of you lies within all of you…that is, putting your whole heart and soul into something that you believe with every fiber of your being. “Lucky” is the one who is given that chance.

Life is really about the “Wow, man!” part that comes after the understanding!

It’s a “look at what I can do with this” hands-on feeling. It’s the fire of imagination…the bonding of you with what has been before and with what can be in the future. It’s what you can do and what you can be and how it will be fun to create and how many people it can help.

It’s “in control”, but not controlling in a negative way. It’s taking charge and charging forth to lift and light the world singlehandedly! It’s inspiring those who are tired of the drudgery. It’s giving hope and energy when you have the most of it and they have the least.

It’s vision beyond a given situation. It leaves you, and those following, momentarily breathless just from the possibilities, and more so from the probabilities that you can create, the lives you can touch, and the negatives that you can eradicate! It is everything, and you are holding it in your hands, powering it with your heart, and guiding it with your soul! Go forth, and get the whole world glowing!

Sometimes, your whole heart and soul have to just take you by the hand and pull you into a situation!

I feel sorry for anyone who has not experienced this level of enthusiasm about something beautiful and worthwhile. It’s never too late, and when you experience it, you’ll never forget the feeling!

For me, it can be the ocean, red rock, or a stunningly beautiful dog. The very thought of cool weather and colorful fall leaves sustains me through the menacing heat of July and August, but a mental picture of the leaves entices me to run toward them emotionally. Allow yourself to be that free at times!

Being drawn to something means you are not alone. You have a connection to the world, you have a place and a part in things.
