Tonight a storm came crashing through
But someone said a prayer
I was scared, but we were fine
God told the storm “Don’t dare…”

Sometimes, in days, things make you feel
it’s pointless to keep going
But then those who know you and care
sow love that they keep showing

The truth is I can handle truth
But lies, they bring me down
It’s hard to want to try to live
when hate is all around

I’m grateful when the level heads
are there and stop my spinning
And thankful for their honest hearts
Together we’re still winning

As long as we “keep keeping on”
We have a chance to help
For it’s about the good of all
Not just you, or “myself”

The storm, yes, it was really here
Was also metaphor
The day was twisted whirling wind
But night’s calm is restored…
